Adding Alt Text to an Image in X:

  • Open X.
  • Create your post.
  • Search photos, and add your photo to your post.
  • Look for +ALT in the bottom right corner of inserted photo.
  • Select +ALT and type in an image description.
  • When finished entering an image description, select "Done" in the upper right corner.

Adding Alt Text to an Image in Facebook:

  • Open Facebook.
  • Create a post.
  • Type your caption.
  • Select the green photo icon, select a photo to add your post.
  • Select "Edit" in the upper left corner of the photo.
  • Select the gear "Settings".
  • You will have an option to enter alternative text to the photo.
  • When finished entering an image description, select "Done", then "Next".
  • Select "Next" again in the image view.
  • Finally, select "Post".

Adding Alt Text to an Image in Instagram:

  • Open Instagram.
  • Go to post a photo.
  • Select a photo for your post.
  • Scroll down and look for "... More Options".
  • Under More Options, scroll down. At the bottom you will see "Write Alt Text".
  • Type an image description for the alt text.
  • When finished entering an image description, select "Done" in the upper right corner.
  • Share your post.
