Approve Time Entry from Workday Inbox

  • Step 1. From the Workday Inbox, locate and select the Time Entry task for the respective employee.
  • Step 2. Review the Daily Totals for the worker.
  • Step 3. Scroll down and review the Entries to Approve.
  • Step 4. After reviewing the employee’s time, click Approve at the bottom of the page to approve the time entered. Note:
    • Send Back: If selected, a Send Back screen appears. Select the worker in the To field and enter the Reason for sending the time entry back. Click Submit.
    • Deny: If selected, a Deny screen appears. Enter the Reason for denying the time entry. Click Submit.
    • Close: If selected, the task will save in your Inbox to return to later.
  • Step 5. If approved, click the Details and Process arrow to view the employee’s time entry summary.
  • Step 6. Click Done.
     

Approve Time Entry from Time and Scheduling Hub

  • Step 1. Navigate to the Time and Scheduling Hub app. If the App is not listed, you can add it to your Global Navigation Menu. You can also type in the Search box to find the hub.
  • Step 2. Click Review and Approve Time.
  • Step 3. Enter a date and use the filter options to narrow the employees results. Click OK.
  • Step 4. Review the Time Period Summary and select the corresponding checkbox for each worker to approve submitted time.
  • Step 5. Click Approve.
  • Step 6. A confirmation page displays, indicating you have approved time for selected worker(s). Click Done.
