  • Step 1. Click the Absence app from your Workday homepage.
  • Step 2. Click Request Absence.
  • Step 3. Select the day(s) you are requesting off. Click Request Absence.
  • Step 4. Select the Type of absence from the drop down menu. Click Next.
  • Step 5. Total hours will populate based on the days selected and work schedule in place at the time of the request. You can also make edits here if needed.
  • Step 6. Click Submit.
