Instructions for the use of the
Hill Theatre Tier 1 technologies.
3.0 Steps to Follow
1. Lighting
instructions- just inside the door on the back wall there will be a light
switch that turns the lights on to the theater. Press the top button.
2. Walk down
the stairs on the right side of the seating and walk to the back room. Locate
a light box with a switch through the door and turn switch on.
3. Locate the
next light switch control panel along the same wall as the lights. It will look
like this. (see pic)
4. Press the
top left button (Preset 1)
This will activate all the other lights needed.
Using the
Podium-
5. Touch
Crestron panel to power on.
6. This will
activate the panel and show all available options for the room.
7. Press the
down arrow on the panel to lower the projector screen.
8. Turn on
projector power
9. Select
“computer” as the the display source
10. Login to PC with your starid
credentials
11. Open the Document Camera
App:
The document camera will be used to project text, white
paper or Transparency.
The Doc Cam Application also has Whiteboard and
Annotation features.
Open up any documents that you will be presenting during
your class:
Powerpoint
Videos
D2L
12. Turn on your Zoom session
to get your remote students online.
13. Sign in with your starid credentials
14. Click run to setup Zoom if
needed
15. Choose “join with computer
audio”
16. Make sure that the audio for
the zoom meeting is set to the HoverCam Solo8 option:
Students should be joining. When a student joins, make sure
that they are muting their microphones and know where that option is:
Bottom left corner
Students can join into the Zoom meetings while in
class. If they do, they need to mute both
microphone and computer audio. Headphones are not recommended,
as all audio that they will hear will come from the classroom speakers.
17. Use the “Share Screen”
option to display the document camera:
You can use the web camera to show a small portion of the
whiteboard/classroom.
You can either pivot the monitor to view part of the board
or rotate the camera to view the classroom.
Webcam
options-

Meetup camera is for viewing and hearing audience

Webcam captures presenter view
·
HoverCam Solo8+ is the document camera
Microphone
options-
***Speakers must be set to one of these options or outgoing
audio is poor quality.
18. When meeting is over choose
leave meeting
19. Logout of PC
20. From the Crestron panel
choose class is over
21. Yes, shutdown
